tens-therapy

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation sends stimulating pulses to help prevent pain signals reaching the brain.

It stimulates production of the natural painkillers called endorphins with a non-invasive massaging sensation. A TENS machine is useful with chronic problems such as soft tissue damage, dysfunction and muscle spasms.

This can occur when the animal adopts a compensatory posture as a result of conditions such as bone spavin, leading to fatigue in muscles in other areas of the body which then go into spasm. TENS also helps to reduce oedema and helps with muscle re-education. Treatment sessions are dependent upon each individual case. Please contact for further information.
